This year unfortunately we won’t be able to run our usual Kids Giving Market, due to social distancing requirements during COVID. Instead, we’re going to support Ndihluthi, the project that produces a tasty, one packet, cook at home meal solution for those who face hunger on a daily basis. Each packet feeds 4 people a nutritious meal for R10.
If you and your family/friends would like to participate, please let me know by this Friday (10th July) so that we can order ingredients in bulk.
If the weather is good, we’d like to pack together, in an open field or park (either Alfred Rd Newlands or Keurboom Park area). Currently weather looks good for 18th May.
Masks and gloves will be essential, and families can sit at separate tables.
You’re also welcome to collect ingredients and pack at home if you prefer.
You’ll need to bring the following:
1 x table to work on
4 x buckets/bowls for ingredients
2 x cups, 2 x tablespoons for filling bags
Masks and gloves for your team
Cost to cover ingredients is R10 per pack.
You can do bags in multiples of 125 – and/or split with another family.
