Many of us based in the Western Cape spend time enjoying the beautiful winelands, and several in our group are at Stellenbosch University. We recently came across the Pebbles Project, based at Villiera and working with children in Stellenbosch, Somerset West, Wellington, Citrusdal, Clanwilliam, Grabouw and the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley in Hermanus. They have education, health, nutrition and social work programmes for farm workers’ children. This year, we collected items they need and got together to raise funds for the great work that they do.
