Market

Wow, what fun we had on World Environment Day. Take a look at the pics here:

Our Neighbourhood Children’s Market was a roaring success – we raised R1,524 for Soil for Life. Kids and parents made all sorts of delicious and beautiful goodies – pebble pets, fudge, biscuits, pompoms, earthy cookies, cake pops, popcorn, drawings, nail painting, plants. And of course there was wine and pizza for the adults … thanks to Ingrid Mottieux of Winewise and Jax of Cocoa for their donations.

Also, the SACS Grade R boys made fabulous “money trees” for World Environment Day, raised R405 in contributions from the boys, cleaned up the litter around the school and all wore greens and browns, to represent the environment.

Thanks to Yuppiechef’s initiative called “Eat for the Earth” which pointed out the fun we could have on World Environment Day, while also contributing to the great work of Soil for Life.
