Today we had a wonderful 67 minutes on Mandela Day, making soup and sandwiches for the emergency room at Red Cross Children’s Hospital. More than 30 children got together to make sandwiches and put together 50 dinner packs for parents and children waiting at the hospital in the emergency room.
Thanks to Jax and her team at Cocoa for the soup and packaging, and to Louise and her team at the Children’s Hospital Trust and Friends of the Hospital for all the help with co-ordination – and mostly to the children and parents who came to give their time and care for those in need.
Thanks too for those who brought much-needed food and hygiene packs for patients at the hospital.
