On Saturday 12th October, Kids Giving gathered to donate, sort and package boxes for child headed households in Wellington.
A fantastic 27 boxes were collected, providing items of need for carers in child-headed households. Among the items collected were toothpaste, toilet paper, sanitary towels, food (rice, pasta, maize, tin cans of food), matches, toys, and other essential items. A big thank you to Vicky and Ally for organising, to Pinelands High School for connecting us with the community, to Barbara Figaji for the great photos, and most especially to the children and parents who willingly gave their time, energy and provisions to make a difference in the lives of children who care for younger children.
