Last Friday, Kids Giving hosted a “plaster day” for the Children’s Hospital Trust of the Red Cross Hospital. The money raised during plaster day goes towards parent accommodation at the Hospital. When a child is ill, there is more to healing children than medication and treatment; often, a mother’s touch is just what the doctor ordered.
Parents’ accommodation at the hospital offers parents the precious opportunity to be near their children during their stay in hospital during this difficult time. Vital daily parental support has proven to result in quicker recovery and shorter periods of hospitalisation for these young patients.

At our plaster day, kids were asked to bring a minimum of R10 and a soft toy for a child at the hospital.

Kids and adults made delicious pizzas, thanx to ingredients from Cocoa, and collected R1000 and these fab toys.
